At the beginning of September, hamas slaughtered over 20 opponents in Gaza. How does your proposal help Palestinians overcome Hamas rejection of civil rights as you are proposing?

Divide and rule policy of Israel and America in occupied Palestinian lands has produced results. By playing one faction of Palestinians against the other, Fatah against Hamas, they have managed to create anarchy in Gaza. And we should keep in mind that Hamas had won the democratic elections in Gaza, and formed the government there.

After the Israeli destruction this year of the infrastructure and homes in Gaza, Hamas government is helpless to control the conflicts that erupt from time to time. This is the reality. But I do not condone any violations of human rights by anyone, Hamas or Fatah, Israel or America. The only way forward is to end the Israeli occupation and dismantle all the settlements created on the occupied lands since 1967. That is the minimum requirement to start meaningful negotiations to settle the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
